Vratsa Limestone
“Vratsa” limestone is a light beige sedimentary rock containing mainly calcium carbonate, with more or less flint inclusions. Depending on them, “Vratsa” limestone is clean and homogeneous or colored with dark spots or veins.
A traditional building material mined for over a hundred years, Vratsa limestone is used for interior and exterior cladding, flooring, architectural details and sculptures.
The limestones mined in the Gorna Kremena and Varbeshnitsa quarries are from the Upper Cretaceous period; they are dense and compact, in thick layers. Their color varies from white to yellowish-white with cream inclusions.
From “Vratsa” limestone we produce:
- Floor slabs 1 cm thick;2 cm;1.5 cm;2 cm;3 cm and more
- Facade slabs of large dimensions and 3 cm thick;4 cm and more
- Slabs measuring 220-300 x 100-180 cm and 2 cm thick;3 cm and more
- Crushed limestone 0-63 mm used by railways, plumbing companies and others.
Building products with a special architectural layout – profiles and cornices, balusters and balustrades, columns, steps, window sills, door and window frames
Surface treatment: diamond cut, ground from C60 to C220, polished, antique, bushardised, sandblasted, grooved, split, chiseled – “Buna”, “Glitz” and “Rustic” type.
